DEVELOPMENT UPDATES - week 3 -  Asset Creation (May 10 - 16)

3D Modelling, Instruments

Week 3 of the development process consisted of continuing the creation of assets.  After making more of the structural room assets for the game it was time to get started on the environment props that would populate most of the area, trying to get a jump on the more difficult models the instruments that were going to be on the stage were the first few assets created.  

3D Modelling, Piano

One of the first instruments to made was the grand piano, Whilst a nice challenge with the different shapes and angles it also went quite quickly and didn't pose many problems throughout its creation.


3D Modelling, Saxophone

Next was the saxophone and it being a object with a lot of different tiny pieces all fitting together perfectly was no simple task, and one that wasn't able to be full ventured as to try and keep the poly count down there was some elements that had to be left out, trying the preserve the look of a saxophone we made sure to keep the more important parts of the instrument that gives the sax its very distinctive look.

3D Modelling, Cello

A fairly easy model, not much difficulty creating this.
